Troundup: The T-Shirt Blog

TRoundup, or T-Shirt Roundup, is a blog run by Colin Newcomer (me). Colin is a hip youngster from the popular town of York, Pennsylvania. He enjoys long walks on the beach, as well as having a passion (some would say obsession) with everything related to t-shirts. This passion shines through in troundup, which is a daily updated blog featuring some of the best t-shirts on the internet.

t-shirt blog

Colin started troundup with the hope of having fun and bringing attention to some of the best shirts and companies around. This dream is slowly becoming realized, as more and more people learn about and enjoy troundup. Colin has a relatively broad taste in t-shirts, but his likes can mainly be defined as artistic t-shirts, quirky humor t-shirts, t-shirts with meaning, and anything else that is really cool. On the flip side, Colin abhores shirts from companies like T-Shirt Hell, and you can bet on never seeing any similar shirts on the blog.

Colin hopes you enjoyed this introduction, and that you will check troundup out, and maybe even tell all your friends. Colin would also like you to know that he normally does not speak (or type) in third person.

Tcritic - Daily T-Shirt Blog

Tcritic isn’t just another blog that talks about t-shirts until the topic goes stale. A twist to this blog that keeps it from becoming just another blog on the internet is its twisted sense of humor. A lot of the t-shirts featured there are so funny that visitors can’t help but want to get their hands on them.

tcritic tees blog

Another example of the blog’s sense of humor is its page called Tshirt War. Everytime somebody visits its main page, two user submitted designs are randomly displayed. Visitors of the website can then vote which of the two they like most. Votes are continually compiled and tallied. The shirts with most wins are displayed on the ‘Winningest’
page while those with most losses go to the so-called ‘Losingest’
page. Statistics are displayed below the image of each shirt, including the total votes, number of wins and losses as well as its winning percentage.

Each blog entry is placed in its appropriate category. So if for example a visitor is more interested in finding reviews by category instead of the date it was posted, then it can make a particular kind of shirt easier to find. Categories range from the seemingly normal like the ‘Videogame T-shirts’ category to the ‘Best T-Shirt Ever.’
There is also a category called ‘Should be a T’ which highlights non-t-shirt designs that the author thinks should also be printed on t-shirts.

The blog is maintained by San Francisco based blogger Karl Long.
Needless to say, it’s his sense of humor that’s flooding the pages of the entire site. He even sometimes poses for a picture while wearing a t-shirt submitted to him.

All in all, the site successfully packs humor and great t-shirts in one. Not bad something that is supposed to be just a hobby. Check it at www.tcritic.com.

Preshrunk - Cover your shame

Preshrunk is a t-shirt blog written by Jason Cosper. It is updated on a regular basis and has been online since December 2004. Each post contains a short review of the featured product along with an image of it.

preshrunk t-shirt blog

A great feature on the site is that at the end of each post the price of the product, the mode of payment, a link to the brand’s website, and the available sizes of the shirt are listed. It’s a great time-saver and definitely makes life easier for those who are on a shopping spree.

The design is clean and simple and without the unnecessary bells and whistles other bloggers choose to put on their sites.

Aside from the features Jason Cosper’s way of writing rocks. He writes in an in-your-face and irreverent manner that makes reading his reviews a joy.

So, if you’re looking for a t-shirt site that’s filled with fresh writing and reviews of nothing else but t-shirts, then visit Preshrunk.

Hide Your Arms

Hide Your Arms is a blog that focuses on discovering and promoting the best sleeved clothing that is available from independent labels and designers on the internet. This includes hoodies, track jackets and sweaters.

Hide Your Arms tshirt blog

Since its in January 2006 HYA has come to be respected by its peers, readers and the clothing labels that are featured. The blog has grown from its original remit and now provides readers with news of sales, new releases, hands-on reviews, and occasional interviews with designers and store owners. Whilst the focus at HYA will always be on sleeved-clothing, high quality t-shirts are also featured.

HYA has only one staff member (the all-powerful Andy), this helps to give consistency of opinion throughout the website. This helps regular readers to interact on a more personal level. In the past there have also been guest posts by respected tee bloggers, who were allowed to forget about tees and cover their arms for a change by telling the readers about their favourite hoodie. Also, since there is only one main writer, the readers know who to blame when I forget to write a post!
