Forfeit Clothing

At 17 I started the company in January of 07 because I did not want a real job, I was a Junior in highschool, and wanted a career that could keep me close to music.

Forfeit Clothing

6 short months later we did a leg on the warped tour, as the youngest company to be a part of the tour for the summer. We are now dropping a whole new line within the coming months and as I graduate highschool I’m ready to get it off the ground. Aimed at the music community and people inspired by art and music, we are here to make our spot in the fashion community. With help of the online community and a select list of bands, we plan to attend a few warped dates and other events within the coming months.

Soapy Laundry T-Shirts

Soapy Laundry would like to present clothing made for the people. A clothing brand that will reinvigorate the older generation, energize our generation and motivate the younger generation. Simply bringing fashion that can be experienced by all shapes, sizes, and ethnic backgrounds. Our garments provide humor, hope and style. Each piece is a melting together of two distinct styles part “Soapy” and part “Laundry” With your support we want to create a lifestyle brand that is not just a “One Hit” wonder, but here to stay.

soapy laundry t-shirts

Guess you can say Soapy Laundry was born in the 80’s and we just didn’t know it. Working hard over the last several years in the 9-5 rat race just kept us hungry and kept us motivated. Various entrepreneur attempts on our own have had limited success. When two people with different styles have the same dream, it turning into reality can end up being one phone conversation away. In a generation filled with collaboration we felt it was time to join together and make this happen. The garments you will see released by Soapy Laundry will be a combination of two minds creating a style for the masses. It was only natural for us to do this and felt Soapy Laundry was the best forum for it to occur It’s definitely hard out here for two young men to survive, and we knew if we were going threw this, everyone around us and around the world was going through the same thing.

Trying to keep a dream from fading is tough; allowing a dream to fade would have been even tougher.

Thankfully we have decided to dive in head first in order to see where it leads us and have some fun while we’re at it of course. Some may feel like this is just another clothing label trying to find its way. We feel that this is more than clothing its life telling us its time to be true to ourselves. Failure is not and an option. We are going to stay hungry, stay motivated, and turn these 80’s dreams into realities.

Blast - Gear to Rock

You’re holding the flier for a show. It’s Xeroxed, black and white, and etched with the name of a band you’ve never heard. You decide to go. It turns out to be the greatest concert you’ll see in your life.

blast t shirts

No matter the show, BLAST is with you, in the front row.

Drawing its influence, inspiration and motivation from DIY fliers, BLAST is a streetwear brand without frills. With a dark palette and grimey imagery, BLAST recalls the dingy clubs, basements and divebars that hosted the shows that changed our lives. And like the shows
themselves, BLAST unites disparate scenes, bridging the gaps between hip-hop, punk and metal, bringing together skate, snow and bmx.

Blending these aesthetics, BLAST extends beyond the fads of the day. With contemporary designs and classic style, BLAST has already carved out a base of dedicated followers.

BLAST clothing comes in super-limited runs. It’s just like those once in a lifetime shows: “you’ll hate yourself if you miss out.”

Steel Cake Watches

My grandfather, Fred Hardaway was one of the first black horologists in the US, so I’ve always had an affinity for watches. Shortly after my graduation from Pratt Institute, where I majored in industrial design, I came up with the concept of the company, Steel Cake. It is not only a representation of my creative vision but also very much a homage to my late grandfather. Design is my passion, so when I create I am trying to make a statement that is discernible from the everyday accessory.

Steel Cake Watches

My generation wants to be able to express itself from head to toe, and for sometime, we have done so using teeshirts, jeans, and sneakers. But, what about timepieces? The watch industry has always been dominated by a much older generation. Since there wasn’t a prominent voice in the watch industry for my generation, many young people turned to cell phones to tell time.

My dream is to be the creative voice for young people in the watch industry and as one of the only young watch company owners/ designers it is my mission to bring a fresh image to watches. Steel Cake, as a brand, is a statement of quality combined with fashion forward flavor.
